MINUCO Telecommunications /

DADI

DADI

The DADI project was developed around the principals that all telecommunication companies effectively do the same thing; provision new services, assure these services, modify these services, cease these services and bill (hopefully) for anything that happens to this service in their lifetime. In order to execute all these tasks the service provider has to interact with different parties (suppliers and customers) and different systems (e.g. network management and billing internally and externally).

It does not matter whether the service provider in the incumbent national network provider (selling to major wholesalers, and 'buying' from the 'man and van' team, or a resellers reseller (buying from a SP selling directly to the man on the street), there are only a fixed number of formats that the service provider can communicate with its suppliers and customers; phone, fax, email, website forms, SMS, XML, webservice, FTP, SFTP, ebXML(2), ODBC, Message queue etc. Most of these formats (probably all with a bit of work) can be automated.

The difference is that all suppliers, service providers and sometimes customers expect their information to be sent to them in a specific format following a specific process, even though they are generally trying to achieve the same objective in transferring information from one place to another.

So the DADI platform has been designed to be completely agnostic (unlike Vigilize which is very British telecommunications specific);

With standard interfaces for email, website forms, SMS, XML, webservice, FTP, SFTP, ebXML(2), in and out of the platform to be utilised by both suppliers, partners and internal systems.

Totally configurable business processes which can be fully nested within one another.

Fully configurable template management so any defined information format can be managed.

The platform can be delivered 'blank' or fully loaded for the relevant processes required. For example it can be delivered to fulfil, assure and bill services for both Openreach WLR3, and Cable & Wireless MPF services, defining the least cost routing against both providers, and generating monthly bills for the services on the system and the usage without having to integrate with any other system or portal other that the Openreach EMP platform, the C&W WAD platform and consuming the billing 'spreadsheets from either party.
