VOpen OSS

Vigilize open oss

VOpenOSS is a self-service and service assurance portal dashboard. It can be seamlessly integrated with VProvisioning and its CCM module.

This provides benefits such as a single login, and smooth transition of a complete order from the provisioning application to the customer service application. Customer service staff using VOpenOSS will be able to identify a user, and immediately view their details and description of the service they have purchased. They will then be able to edit a notes field, create a trouble ticket or check the status of an existing TT, monitor performance statistics, and run reports.

VOpenOSS can be integrated with the relevant external OSS applications such as Remedy and Netcool to provide information on service outages, performance against SLA and trouble tickets. Users will be able to create edit and manage trouble tickets within third party applications however this is tied to the users' roles and permissions. VOpenOSS maintains an audit trail of all events and changes relevant to a customer and their service. It is also the interface to the CCM for fully provisioned services, and the customers and CSAs will use it to maintain the accuracy of the customer information such as contact details.

VOpenOSS has functionality to allow a customer or a CSA to make changes to the service such as upgrades, or for example request a broadband MAC Key for migration to another broadband service provider.

The product includes built-in screens for managing BT Wholesale broadband diagnostics (WOOSH Test) and fault reporting as well as more generic assurance functionality based on Openreache's EMP assurance processes. If it is used in conjunction with the VBT product from Vigilize then it will automatically (using the eCO XML-Repair interface / EMP Assurance) request a line test and dependant on results report a fault to BT Wholesale / Openreach.
